Typster Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Typster (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use the game. Typster is a typing arcade game with optional cloud save, online 1v1 battles, ads, and in-app purchases.
1. Information we process
- Account identifiers. If you play as a guest, Firebase Anonymous Authentication creates an anonymous user ID. If you link Google or Sign in with Apple, we store the linked account identifiers needed to keep your progress across devices.
- Game progress. Coins, level progress, stars, best scores, nickname, language preference, daily bonus / ad counters, and leaderboard-related fields may be stored on your device and synced to Firebase (Firestore / Realtime Database) when online.
- Battle data. During 1v1 matchmaking and matches, temporary queue/match data (nickname, level, scores) may be written to Firebase Realtime Database.
- Purchase data. In-app purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive purchase confirmation from the store SDKs to grant Typster Coins. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Advertising. We show rewarded ads via Google AdMob. Ad networks may collect device and advertising identifiers according to their own policies. Typster does not currently request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission for personalized tracking on iOS.
- Diagnostics. Standard platform logs may be available to us via Apple / Google developer tools. We do not sell your personal data.
2. How we use information
- To run the game (progress, coins, leaderboards, battles)
- To restore progress when you sign in on another device
- To grant rewards from ads and in-app purchases
- To operate and improve reliability and abuse prevention
3. Legal bases (EEA/UK where applicable)
We process data as needed to provide the app you asked for (contract/performance of service), and where required for legitimate interests such as security and fraud prevention. Store and ad partners process data under their own terms.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers that power the app:
- Google Firebase — authentication, cloud database, analytics configuration as enabled
- Google AdMob — rewarded advertisements
- Apple / Google — app distribution, sign-in, and in-app purchases
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
Progress linked to your account is kept while your account/game data remains active. You can stop using the app at any time. Local data can be removed by uninstalling the app. For deletion of cloud account data, contact us using the email below.
6. Children
Typster is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we will delete it where required.
7. Your choices
- Play as guest or link Google / Apple in Settings
- Disable sound in Settings
- Skip rewarded ads (optional earn path)
- Manage store purchases via Apple/Google account settings
- Limit ad personalization via your device / Google account ad settings
8. International transfers
Firebase and AdMob may process data on servers outside your country. These providers use safeguards required by applicable law.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
